Hello! My name is Susan Johnson. Welcome to Sugar Buttons Crafts, my little shop on the internet. Just want to share a little about how Sugar Buttons Crafts came to be. I come from a very talented family thank you MOM and DAD for my inherited talents and the love. I have for as long as I can remember loved anything to do with drawing and painting in all medium. My mom convinced me to take some tole painting classes with her in 1992 and I’ve been hooked and loving it ever since.

I need to give credit where credit is due and I feel it is due. To my daughters Melinda and Sharise (my original Sugar Buttons and bases for a lot of my characters) you two are a consistent source of inspiration and support. You are the reason I reached for this dream, and this shop came to be. Thanks for believing in me even when I don’t always believe in myself. Thank you to my husband and financial advisor, and my precious grandson and my son-in-law you keep us all laughing.

I try to keep the wood cutting really easy that is the part I like the least, so easy is best. All pattern packets have complete supply list and detailed easy to follow instructions as well as a colored picture for reference.
